The Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
The current version of the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is the normal requirement for staff who teach and assess in the Australian Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector. You should do this course if you do not already have a higher qualification in adult education and:
- are already teaching in a college or training organisation in the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector
- plan to teach in a college or training organisation in the VET sector, or
- are going to assess work skills or learning.
If you did a previous version, it is no longer recognized for teaching and assessing purposes in VET colleges.
