Copyright Amendment (Moral Rights) Act 2000
"The moral rights of Australian creators are protected under Part IX of the Copyright Act 1968. The Act grants creators two main rights: (1) the right to be accurately attributed in all uses of their work; and (2) the right to object to any derogatory treatment of (including changes to) their work. These rights are unassignable and personal to the creator, and cannot be bought, sold or licensed. They are also non-economic and cannot be used for direct financial gain. Actions which are reasonable or which have been consented to by the creator will not infringe moral rights.
