Traineeships
This Act and the WA VET Act were changed quite radically in 2009, but the changes only affect RTOs that offer traineeships and apprenticeships.
In ACAS, the rest of this page no longer applies as we d not currently offer traineeships.
Industrial Training Act 1975
Most relevant parts:
37D. The Minister sets up traineeship schemes and determines the training arrangements
37E. The Minister may delegate these powers to subordinates.
39. It is illegal to demand or receive any premium, fee, gift or reward for:
- taking an apprentice or industrial trainee in a trade; or
- inducing or attempting to induce any other person to take an apprentice or industrial trainee in a trade,
42. The Governor may make such regulations as are necessary or expedient for the purposes of giving effect to the provisions or objects of this Act.
