The Victorian Government opens for RTOs to submit Expressions of Interest for funding. These opportunities come up quite randomly without warning and usually last for six weeks. It is up to the RTO to be on the lookout for them, as they take no initiative to make contact with RTOs. It is best practice for RTOs to check on-line weekly.

Openings for EOI are announced on the Skills Victoria Training System website (http://www.education.vic.gov.au/svts/), for which RTO's must have a password. The way to get a password is to apply online at http://www.education.vic.gov.au/toselfregnet/login.aspx.

  • The TOID is the RTO's NTIS number.
  • The password is the RTO's ASQA password.
  • The first login is the only chance to learn the system.

Notes:

  • After that, we can get a maximum of only two passwords. It is up to the RTO to choose to whom we issue them.
  • The system is highly competitive.
  • We can keep applying as many times as we like.
  • If we get approval, we have to sign a service agreement and provide two years of financial records.
  • Payment is made on a per nominal hour basis.
