Free Outsourcing

The Department of Health provides free training and/or materials for the unit CHCCN3C, which a key unit in some childcare courses, and is required under legislation in some circumstances.

The Department of Community Development has its own training arm called Community Skills Training Centre (CSTC).

Some of our internships qualify for  this kind of training, so you could outsource units for free. To be eligible for free CSTC training you must fit into the following criteria:

  • You work or volunteer for a SAAP (Supported Accommodation Assistance Program) funded service or Department for Community Development FUNDED
    service.
  • You work or volunteer for a service that has received endorsement by their local Department for Community Development to attend CSTC training. (You have close ties with the work of the Department).
  • You are a registered social or community services volunteer
  • You work for the Department for Community Development.

Note: Member colleges can legitimately outsource training, but the agreement prohibits  outsourcing accreditation for anything covered under their ACAS accreditation.
