If the auditor is not a staff member of the ACAS Centre, the auditee is entitled to get a letter of authorization issued by the ACAS Centre.
The authorization letter is sent to both the auditor and the auditee. It purposes are to:
- Authorize a person (or persons) to audit an ACAS site on behalf of ACAS
- Define some terms of the audit e.g. confidentiality, protection of Intellectual Property, and protection of organizational knowledge such as unique innovations or procedures.
- Specify a means of assistance.
