Below are the six steps to sterilising using a sterilising system. Sort the steps below into the correct order by numbering them 1 to 6, then check your answers below.

• place a plastic submerger over the item to ensure the equipment is submerged under the water
• every 24 hours wash the sterilising container out and start again with fresh solution and water
• soak the equipment for a minimum of 1 hour, remove it and store it in a separate container until required
• add the correctly measured amount of sterilising solution to the water
• pour the correctly measured amount of water into the sterilising container
• place all of the items that you wish to sterilise in the containers (wash your hands first).
