The five food groups diagram is divided into five sections:
- eat most - fruit and vegetables
- eat most - bread and cereal
bread, cereals, pasta, rice, noodles
- eat moderately - meat and fish
lean meat, fish, poultry, eggs, legumes, nuts
- eat moderately - dairy
milk, yoghurt, cheese
- eat least - fats and sugars
oil, butter, margarine, confectionary, chocolate, biscuits, cakes
