One of the children Nicole is currently focusing on is Curtis. He is 4 years old, and has been at Cybertots for about six months. By getting to know Curtis and the other children really well, she will be able to plan and provide experiences the children will really enjoy.

To find out what interests Curtis, Nicole will observe him while he is at Cybertots, and create a portfolio. This portfolio will contain photographs of Curtis, samples of his artwork, video, audio and other documentation.

Nicole can then use this portfolio to identify Curtis's interests and developmental levels. It can also be shown to his parents and guardians so they can see how Curtis is progressing, and what activities he enjoys at Cybertots.
