The NTM Universal Outline needs to be interpreted as an opportunity to explore rather than a set of prescribed conclusions. Many of the topics it covers are now treated as separate fields of enquiry, and it would be best to think of them as good starting points and questions, rather than as answers you must find. Be open to what is there. Expect surprises. Let that culture challenge your assumptions. For example, one of the aspects of communication is not what one says, but what might be communicated by quietness. |
